Issues we explore:

  • Codependency - boundaries and learning to identify own needs and values

  • Anxiety - body and emotional regulation, worry, and constant future-thinking

  • Self-Worth - internalized shame, feelings of inadequacy, and difficulty accepting compliments

  • Attachment wounds - worrying about, fearing, and avoiding close connections with others

  • Negative & over-thinking - reframing learned, patterned thoughts that impact emotions and behavior

  • Family enmeshment - blurred personal boundaries, over-involvement with others’ emotions, and triangulation

  • Perfectionism - a coping mechanism with unrealistic expectations of self and linking worth to achievements and performance

  • Learned helplessness (victim mentality) - blaming and judging others, and defending ourselves to mask difficult feelings

Couples

(Two people engaged in relational therapy, to enhance connection and/or resolve conflict.)

  • Connecting - build closeness and intimacy with intentional action

  • Family - unique blends, children (biological and adopted), and staying connected

    Issues we explore:

    • Mirroring - hear your own stories reflected in others

    • Practice - interpersonal role-playing to build confidence

    • Modeling - observing others coping strategies and self-compassion

    • Belonging - giving and receiving in a community to internalize connection
